Married to Sue. Father of Neil.
I first became involved with The Ockley Drama Club for the panto in 2003 after running into Martin Pratt at The Dorking Business Breakfast Group. It came out in conversation that I had been a dame in four successive and successful pantomimes at The Weald School as part of the PTA raise funds for the school. I missed doing the shows a lot so when Martin asked me to audition for the 2003 panto I was more than willing. People make a lot of fun of me about dressing up as a woman but I'm not worried as I know I use balloons rather than go the whole hog of falsies. Besides it gets an extra laugh when they get burst. I do enjoy being the dame' you can add lib almost to your hearts content, I was once describe as being the master of the one liner - the trouble was he didn't know what the next line was going to be and neither did the rest of the cast! However I was well behaved in our most recent production Treasure Island and we had a lot of fun and sold out each performance. I sometimes feel that I should have a crack at another character but it would be hard to give the dame away.
